THE FIRST HALF
We started very well, attacking from the outset with Mike Yee having a decent run and shot blocked, then a header saved well from our former keeper Alex from a cross from Ian. A few corners also caused them problems and amazingly it was still 0-0 after the first 20 minutes. But the breakthrough finally came and against the run of play the Thai Team managed to get a couple of quick goals to impose themselves on the game. With about 10 minutes of the first half to go the Wirral Chinese finally got what they deserved and Mike Yee was put through to slot in a shot to make it 2-1.

THE SECOND HALF
After a scrappy few minutes, the Thai Team scored again, this time from a cross which should have been defended a little better. At 3-1 we were still in the game and a superb through-ball by Michael Scott played Mike Yee in to beat a couple of players and shoot low with his left foot into the bottom corner. With the score at 3-2 we were right back into the game. After getting back into the game lack of match practice began to show and we began to get a little sluggish and were punished with 2 more goals from the Thai's. We managed to get a little hope back with a well taken goal by Michael Scott but it only proved to be a consolation.

OVERALL
We were very unlucky in the end not to get something from the game, even a win, but we didn't get the break of the ball in crucial moments, especially in the first half. Alex made a couple of match winning saves that proved important in the end. Although we lost we were always in the game and we should do better in the matches coming up - this was our first of the close season and we did really well considering we haven't played a match for a while.
